If You’re Not …

If you’re not reading William S. Lind, you’re doing yourself a disservice. He’s not as cool or hip or abrasive as the War Nerd, but he’s every bit as good. Evidence by William S. Lind: From the perspective of 4GW theory, it is beginning to look as if the drug traffickers/Hezbollah model may be more sophisticated and more successful than the al Qaeda model. Al Qaeda seemingly is on the ropes in Iraq, not because of the “surge” but because of its own blunders. To at least some extent those blu

Can’t think of a better example of “Isn’t this the 21st Century?”

posted on Thu, 24 Jul 2008 16:37:11 -0700

I still can not believe that so many people can not figure out that people are people and love is love.  How is crap like this still going on in the world?  I have never ever understood how two people loving each other is wrong.  Oh and just a quick question….aren’t the guys raping the gay guy having gay sex?  How is it ok for them, but not ok for the gay guy?  Oops, I probably wasn’t supposed to think that hard was I?  And yes I do know that rape is not about sex that it is about power….dabbl

No evidence that CO2 caused global warming

posted on Thu, 24 Jul 2008 16:37:08 -0700

I’ve previously blogged articles that show that global warming is actually in reverse, and that in a short period of time we may actually be heading back into an ice age. Following on from that is this article which argues that not only is global warming a thing of the recent past, but that there was never any actual evidence that CO2 was in any way responsible for the warming that did occur. Instead, it seems that governments and corporations have used this idea as another way to leverage our

Obama Is Hooked On The Adoration and Would Govern by the Polls

posted on Thu, 24 Jul 2008 16:37:05 -0700

Obama is speaking to a crowd of several hundred thousand Germans and proclaiming he "will change the world!" The venue for his acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention was changed so that he could speak to tens of thousands more supporters live, in person. He eschews smaller, more intimate town hall meetings where he might actually have to talk with people, preferring to shout at large crowds from the stage like a televangelist promising to heal the sick if you just write one mor

Toledo Creates For Mrs. Glambama

posted on Thu, 24 Jul 2008 16:36:12 -0700

Toledo Creates For Mrs. Glambama Isabel Toledo Isabel Toledo was shocked and thrilled to see Michelle Obama wearing one of her creations at the Vogue/Calvin Klein fund-raiser in June. “She looked amazing,” Toledo told us at F.I.T.’s Couture Council cocktail celebration at her penthouse loft. The best part was that Obama bought the dress at Ikram in Chicago. “I understand that she buys a lot of my work, which is really … I’m very, very honored for that. It’s even better than her contacting me,

Panel Bans New Fast Food Restaurants in South LA. Fat People Rally In Protest.

Panel OK’s one-year ban on new fast food restaurants in LA.  What? If people want and choose to eat at fast food restaurants then let them.  If Fast Food businesses are doing well then let them build more.  It’s basic economics, supply and demand should rule here.  This is Capitalistic country no?  They’re not selling crack. Ban on new fast-food restaurants I am sure these Fast Food Restaurants are more prevalent because of the local economics of the area putting and putting a ban on

BAMA’O - Berlin Edition

posted on Thu, 24 Jul 2008 16:35:26 -0700

Real interesting moment in this campaign right now. Here you have this Obama guy hopping around the globe, looking more like America’s President than ’still’ President Bush, while at the same time there’s John McCain, back at home twiddling his thumbs in slightly less impressive photo-ops. If Americans vote on awesomeness (which they kinda do) I don’t see how this election is close. But, it’s still very early and there’s plenty of time for things to happen. All I can say is… if Obama doesn’

posted on Thu, 24 Jul 2008 16:35:21 -0700

Did you miss last night's two-hour bike ride with Tom LaBonge, city councilman for L.A.'s 4th District? Not to worry -- he's got at least four more planned this summer. Bill Campbell from Los Angeles Metblogs went along last night and had this to say: The last time I saw LaBonge he was pedaling up to be a part of the 5th-annual Blessing of the Bikes at Good Samaritan Hospital during Bike To Work Week in May. And there he was again last night leading a group of about 50 riders on 4th Street...f
